Bandai was the company that brought my childhood to life. Digimon, Mega Man, Dragon Ball Z, Cardcaptor Sakura and the recently hyped MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS just to name a few. When I heard that I was going to be performing magic for them, my inner child smiled gleefully. It’s MORPHING TIME
It was a very intimate private function held by Bandai Corporation at the Hyatt Hotel. A cosy atmosphere, the guests were directors and shareholders of the company (or so I’m told).
Not unlike how Bandai brought my favourite kids show to life in the form of toys and collectibles, I worked my magic on the guest and made impossibilities happen. You can see that they enjoyed my performance!
My favourite part of the night was when I printed the name of my participating spectator on the back of a name card using magic. The look on their face when they see their name appearing on the card that was firmly in their hand was priceless. One guy got so startled he shouted expletives that I shall not repeat here because after all, Bandai is a kid’s friendly brand name
Here’s a video of my performances at that event:
All in all, it was an amazing night, getting to meet the faces behind one of my favourite childhood toy company. Now to binge watch all those old Nostalgic cartoons
